David H. Reitze Named 2018 AAAS Fellow

LIGO Lab's David H. Reitze is among the 416 members of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) who have been elected the 2018 Fellows, a lifetime honor given in recognition of the Fellows' extraordinary achievements in advancing science. David Reitze, who has served as the Executive Director of the LIGO Laboratory since 2011, was elected "for outstanding leadership of the Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory into the era of the discovery of the first gravitational waves."

The Fellows will be recognized at the 2019 AAAS Annual Meeting in February 2019 in Washington, D.C.
