Comment on LSC Inclusiveness

The LIGO Scientific Collaboration, of which the LIGO Laboratory is the largest member, has released the following statement:

"The LIGO Scientific Collaboration and Virgo Collaboration recognizes the challenges faced by scientists who belong to underrepresented groups. We celebrate the contributions made to the LVC's achievements by physicists, astronomers, engineers, detector operators, students, and staff who identify as women, transgender, intersex, and/or gender-diverse. We are committed to a collaboration environment that is welcoming and inclusive to all of our members."
